Bluebells adding colour and joy to Oakfield Wood

Updated: 6 days ago

Welcome to our third newsletter now we are nearly at the end of April! Despite the insistent wind and cold temperatures, nature is continuing to spring to life around us all. What a delight it is to see blossom on the trees, new leaves, and smell the delicious aroma of cow parsley that lines many of our favourite nature trails.

The Bluebells are still being shy but giving us the promise of their beautiful blue carpet in the woods as we move into warmer May weather.

We would very much welcome any personal stories you wish to share about loved ones who are residing at Oakfield.

Meanwhile, keep looking for signs of spring, in the village we have had recent sightings of Marshfield Harriers which can only mean that better times are ahead!

Our woodland burial grounds are protected by the Essex Wildlife Trust and so offer permanent resting places that will forever remain completely undisturbed. Full or Ashes Interments include the planting of a Tree and a Plaque of Remembrance. For more information, please contact our friendly, compassionate team on 01255 880521
