After years of planning, in our mission for Oakfield Wood Wrabness to offer the best possible services and options to families, preparations are being made to start building works in 2027!
To compliment the natural woodland burial ground, we plan to build a Chapel of Rest, a Ceremony Hall and a brand-new facility, enabling us to be one of the first in UK to provide the new and innovative warm water alternative to Cremation. This environmentally friendly, heated water solution option has been described as "returning to the womb" and is becoming a popular choice around the world. Maintaining Woodland Symbiosis
In our commitment to maintaining the natural health and vitality of Oakfield Wood Wrabness, we have introduced bamboo pots for flowers at the burial grounds (please get in touch to learn more).

We would also like to kindly remind visitors to please NOT leave plastic or glass jars or ornaments. Bamboo offers a fully biodegradable option that supports the woodland's natural environment. Visitors planting bushes, plants, or small trees on or around graves is also NOT permitted. Many varieties can be detrimental to the essential symbiosis and support between trees. We take great care and consideration over the varieties of trees that we plant and for the plants which are encourage to thrive. Thank You for your understanding and help to support the vitality of this beautiful natural resting place.
Report a Tree
With over 3000 trees to look after, we will always be grateful to members of the public who let us know of any trees which may require attention from one of our experienced team. We do all tree planting during the colder / dormant months, so if any trees do need attention over the next few months, we can immediately replace them if necessary. Thank You.
More and more people are choosing to go back to nature at the end of their lives. Becoming part of a protected natural habitat for nature, wildlife, and birdlife, offers families peace of mind that their loved ones' resting place will never be disturbed and that they will live on as part of something truly beautiful and teaming with life.
