Tree Planting Completed until November 25
Tree planting will stop at the end of this month due to the warmer weather. All tree planting will re-commence in the dormant season, Nov 25 - March 26. Great care and consideration is taken to ensure that the most suitable species of trees and their placement with neighbouring trees are chosen. Planting times are also incredibly important to the health of each tree. We plant trees in the dormant / colder season working with advice from the forestry commission. The colder temperatures allow the tree roots to establish themselves before any upward growth begins. The most suitable tree types will be chosen, determined by its location, to allow and encourage the essential symbiosis and support between trees.

Sometimes, one of the Trees of Oakfield Wood Wrabness requires attention by one of our experienced team members. With over 2000 trees to look after, it is very helpful if a member of the public can let us know about something they may have spotted. So please, drop us a message to let us know of any issues with the trees. Thank You.
Now that Spring has joined us, our tasks will include the ongoing maintenance to the tracks and parking areas. The ongoing care and maintenance of the woodland ensures that it always offers a beautifully serene setting for everyone visiting, whether you are visiting a loved one or enjoying the nature and abundant wildlife that the woodland supports.
